I think it is essential to read every day, whether it's a good book under the covers or your favorite blogs in the morning. It is much more rewarding to read for pleasure than to read because you have to!

I have just finished The List by Siobhan Vivian. I was really looking for a good, quick read for Spring break that I would be able to love and finish within the week. & this definitely fit the bill!! The list is a list that comes out each year on the Monday before Homecoming and names the prettiest and ugliest girls in each grade. The book goes through each girl's reaction and how the list either makes or breaks them. They struggle into their new found titles and show what makes each "ugly" girl beautiful and we realize that beauty is only skin deep! It really is an extraordinary book going through the usual high school struggles of making friends, fitting in, and becoming Homecoming Queen. However, there is a darker side of sibling rivalries, money troubles, bullying, and anorexia. All in all, I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars and definitely worth a quick read.
